Our winterguard began as an impossible-sounding dream discussed around a kitchen table; without any real resources to start out, the program would have to be built on passion, determination, and very little else. 

It wasn’t much, but it turned out to be enough. ​ 

Emanon took the floor for the first time in 2000 – the small, humble group unknowingly laying a foundation for the hundreds of people who would eventually follow in their footsteps. ​ 

After that inaugural season, the program began to slowly but steadily develop in size, skill, and status. Every few seasons, the guard would hit a new milestone: first season in WGI, first class promotion, first local circuit medal, first world championship finals run – those years of growth gradually transforming Emanon from the little guard we’d been to the elite organization we are today.
